Anime Tomodachi!

May 31st, 2008 | Category: Anime

Anime, best friends are pretty much like real-life friends except instead of being our neighbors, relatives and classmates, they’re teenage girls with magic powers, human electric eels, and reformed alien invaders! Let’s take a look at some of our favorite anime best buddies!

Ginji and Ban form Get Backers

Ginji Amano was known as Raitei the Thunder Emperor, leader of the notorious VOLTS gang. Ban Mido saw Ginji’s potential for good and conviced him to turn away from the violent life of a gangster. Together they formed the Get Backers retrieval team. Ginji owes his new life to Ban and would do anything for his partner. And even if he seems to treat Ginji badly all the time, Ban is very protective of the immature Ginji.

Roan and Yuufa from Ragnarok: the Animation

Roan and Yuufa are childhood friends who embark on adventuring careers together. They supported each other through the difficult novive period and now Roan has become a Swordsman and Yuufa an Acolyte. The tests and trials they encounter as they travel around Rune-Midgard strengthen their bond of friendship, but could something else come out of their constantly being together?

Sakura and Tomoyo from Cardcaptor Sakura

Sakura Kinomoto and Tomoyo Daidouji have always been best friends but when sakura was chosen by Keroberos to be the Cardcaptor, Tomoyo’s admiration became full-blown heroine worship! Even though it’s dangerous sometimes, Tomoyo insists on going hunting for the Clow Cards with Sakura so she can record every second on her video camera. Tomoyo also designs and creates all of Sakura’s costumes because she wants her best friend to always look her best. Sakura is lucky to have such a devoted companion!

Goku and Krillin from Dragonball Z

San Goku wasn’t born ultra-powerful. He needed training to gain the skills that would eventually make him the multi-time savior of Earth. As a boy, Goku trained under Master Roshi, also known as Turtle Grandpa (he wears a turtle shell on his back). This is when he met Krillin, another student of Master Roshi’s. At first, they were rivals, but they quickly became best friends. Although Goku’s alien origins allowed hi to surpass Krillin, Krillin is still the most powerful human on the planet and always frights at Goku’s side.

2nd Month on the Block!

May 29th, 2008 | Category: Blogging

Today is my second month on the blogging world and I’m still learning how to optimize my blog without spending a penny. I really wish I could a have a PR and a high Alexa ranking. Huhuhhu. Well, I just gotta have patience! And I wish I could have somebody here in my place to teach me SEO stuffs. Everything I learned from blogging and SEO are all because of the power of surfing, but I really don’t trust the internet as a reliable source of information.

My best wishes for Ezekun.com to be live for the next years with a PR ^_^. Same to those of my other blogs and subdomains.

Mall Trip!

May 28th, 2008 | Category: Travel

My mom’s computer got broken and I can’t do anything about it because it is still under warranty. So we went to CDO (because this is where my mom bought the PC) to let the service center check the thing. But Unfortunately or fortunately, there was nothing wrong with the computer at all. I was really surprised, I mean at the office it was really broke… I thought my mom just said?!?… That stupid thing just turned on when it got there!

Good thing we didn’t go there just to fix the computer. Of coarse we went shopping! ^_^. At Limketkai and Gaisano, we went shopping with Ezekun ! With a stroller in hand, shopping with a baby is like a piece of cake!

First stop was Gaisano city. We went there to buy baby stuffs, like baby bottles, spoons, forks, plates, nipples and teether for baby Ezekun. I really had fun looking at baby clothes, makes want to buy them for ezekun. ^_^ And after that we looked around the place and decided to eat lunch at a restaurant. Then we went to Limketkai and bought computer accessories at CD-R King and bought clothes for Ezekun’s mom. We also, again, went to the baby’s corner. After a tiring trip at ketkai, we took a break at Greenwich and bought some pizza.

I was really surprised at Greenwich… I was able to witness weird people there — We we’re sitting at the center table, at our left was two korean ladies who were waiting for there order, and another on our right was lady eating her meal… The two korean ladies got their order, a chicken meal and a lasagna with mozzarella cheese. The lady with the chicken meal pinched a part of the chicken and ate it, while the other just ate the bread stick, and then they both went away. >.< On the other hand, the lady on our right was eating alone on a very big table, when infact there were a lot of single table to use! Really weird people!

I really had fun at CDO, with our last stop at MACRO. Everytime we have a trip to CDO, MACRO is always the last stop. That’s because we can buy really cheap stuffs in there compared to that in Iligan. My mom bought a new and cheap DVD player just to replace the old one. She also bought a spin dryer to make laundry time easy. ^_^

I was at the back of the car and was filled with the goods we bought. Slept and was hit by falling things til we got back to Iligan with exghausted faces and a warm welcome home by our family. >.<

Forbidden Kingdom

Hayyaah!! Drunken Fist style!, Tiger Claw!… Aheheh… I really like this movie, first time ever of the two famous martial artist unite in one movie, Jakie Chan and Jet Li. You might thought that they are the main characters of the movie but unfortunately their not. The main character is a teenager boy named Jason (Michael Angarano), who is obsessed with kung fu cinema which led him to the discovery of an ancient staff, owned by the Monkey king. With the staff in his hand (running away from thugs), he fell from a building and unexpectedly found himself back in time to ancient china… there, his quest begins to return the staff to the imprisoned and petrified Monkey King…

———

There are lot of things I like about this movie… Let me say them one by one.

  1. The storyline is really unique.
  2. The action genre is mixed with comedy.
  3. I can relate it to an anime movie.
  4. Fantasy, makes me want it to be a reality.
  5. Fighting Styles used were realistic.
  6. The mokey king is like Sarutobi’s Summon ( third hokage from naruto).
  7. The monkey king used Kage bunshin no jetsu! (just like naruto.) ^_^
  8. and more… ^_^

Over all outcome is a Thumbs Up! I didn’t know that Jackie and Jet could be a great pair in a martial art movie. They should have doneit together years ago. Well, we don’t know what runs on their heads right now. All I can say is, I hope there’s more! ^_^

Bridge…

May 23rd, 2008 | Category: Devotion

“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”, - John 14:6. 2000 years ago until now, people are still debating what Jesus Christ was really trying to say, whether it is literal or there are other deeper meanings. Some even question his authority. But we christians must take what He says as truth. Let’s take a deeper look of what he said.

Jesus said, “I am the way”. The first thing that comes to mind is there is only “one-way” (like a road), meaning, there are many roads, but He is the only road that could take us to the father. I’m not telling it’s bad, but I think we can do better than that… How about think of Him as a bridge that linked us from the gap of sin ( as what Apostle Paul said in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.) - this can brought us an image that God and us has gap in between. But through Jesus Christ as a bridge, He stands in the gap, providing a safe passage across the void and into the loving arms of the Father.

All Glory to God! :-)
