Kenshin Himura (Shinta)
Staying on the straight and narrow, Rurouni Kenshin’s Kenshin Himura has been happily helping Kaoru Kamiya run her dojo, despite constantly being challenged to become Battousai the Slasher once again. Kaoru’s a great boss, but everyone knows her cooking is so horrible that Sanosuke and Yahiko run for the hills whenever she prepares meals. I wonder who cooks for Kaoru when kenshin wasn’t at the dojo yet.^_^
Kenshin was actually abandoned by his parents (was sold actually) when we was just a little kid. He joined some bunch of people and was attacked by bandits. His master saved him from the crooks and decided to be Kenshin’s teacher. Kenshin’s real name was Shinta, his master changed it to Kenshin Himura because, for him it was too soft for a swordsman. After kenshin decided to go apart from his teacher, he then became the Battousai.
I picked him as My Character of the Month, eventhough he’s dead right now, but I still consider him as my favorite character.

finally… a post about anime! kenshin reminds me of one of my favorite anime characters — Vash the Stampede of Trigun. he can be occasionally silly, but when he’s holding his gun he’s something else. kenshin is deadly with his sword, but when he’s relaxed, he’s just as silly
Batusai is the coolest anime character of all time.
Anime RULEZZZZZZZZ.
